The ultimate goal of Fort Fantastic is to enforce light bulb moments outside the context of common experience. The participants will encounter their very individual moments of understanding e.g. about the frustration of not being informed or the value of documentation as well as the necessity of keeping the configuration directory updated and the benefits of a formal change management process which ensures that everyone involved is adequately informed about changes.
Attendees learn the value of teamwork as well as to cooperatively interact with others, to communicate and to solve problems.
If Fort Fantastic is used as an introduction for an ITIL V3 Foundation course participants will typically transfer their moments of understanding developed in the simulation to the ITIL content all by themselves. Thus, the participants benefit from a profound learning experience.
Due to the Experimental-Learning-Approach Fort Fantastic is an ideal vehicle to facilitate learning when changes in cooperative behaviour are required as a result.
